Warrior Trope

The "Indian Warrior Trope,"  as it is manifest in these poems, often circles around depictions of Native American and First Nations warriors who still live in traditional tribal communities, and are fierce and utterly brave. In occasional poems, they are also construed as romantic objects of desire, focusing on their masculine virility.
