Music Notation and Innovation

Introduction

Over the course of the semester students in Dr. Sakinah Davis' Music History 351 class have pondered the idea of using different styles of music notation (namely visual) as a sort of musical innovation. With the progression of the year, each student has analyzed musical scores and clips to create visual representations of each piece.
The purpose of this book is to track the progression on how my thoughts, ideas, and analysis of notation as innovation has evolved throughout the semester.
