Designers like Michael Fish also contributed to the effeminate transformation of menswear. The fashion was further popularized when icons like David Bowie and Mick Jagger were seen sporting Fish’s more feminine looks, like Fish's “Man Dress”. Several of Fish's designs became controversial as they tore down gender norms and pushed the boundaries of masculinity.

This cover of the for The Daily Telegraph Magazine is a photograph of Terence Stamp taken by Hans Feurer in 1968. Seated in the background is Douglas Hayward, a stylist who worked with celebrities. Stamps sports a double breasted jacket, an iconic clothing item during the Peacock Revolution, with braided lapels on a black barathea suit. This image depicts a milder version of the male fashion during this era while still containing several elements, like the blue ascot, that were very relevant. Starting in London, the Peacock revolution transformed menswear with its feminine amelioration and was nonconformist to the strict definition of masculinity and masculine clothing.
