Januar, im „Hotel Rennert.“ Es ist die Absicht, das Bankett zur größten Affaire in der Geschichte des Vereins zu machen. Hr. Clarence H. Forrest wird als Toastmeister fungiren. Unter den eingeladenen Ehrengästen sind: Achtb. John D. Long, Flotten-Sekretär; Wu Ding Fang, der chinesische Gesandte in Washington, Senatoren Burrows von Michigan und Culberson von Texas; Prof. Walter A. Wyckoff von der Princeton-Universität; Samuel L. Clemens (Mark Twain) und Congreßmann John M. Allen von Mississippi. | The “Association of Merchants and Manufacturers” will hold its annual banquet on Thursday, January 31, at the Rennert hotel. It is the intention to make the banquet the greatest affair in the history of the association. Mr. Clarence H. Forrest will act as toastmaster.
