Frank Mayo selbst wird die Titelrolle spielen, und den „Anwalt Pudd'nhead“ darstellen, einen humorveranlagten Mann, der durch seine witzigen und scharfen Aussprüche ganz gewaltig gegen die simpeln Bewohner des Städtchens Dawson, Missouri, absticht und dadurch Veranlassung zu allerlei Mißverständnissen und Verwechselungen gibt.
