| London, 6. Juni. - Bei der am 26. d. Mts. Stattfindenden, mit der Inauguration von Lord Curzon Kanzler verbundenen Schlußfeier der Universität Oxford werden mehr als hundert Doktorhüte „Honoris causa“ verliehen werden. Unter den hervorragenden Persönlichkeiten, welchen diese Ehrung zugedacht ist, befinde sich Botschafter Whitelaw Reid, der amerikanische Humorist Samuel Clements [sic] (Mark Twain), der Dichter Rudyard Kipling, Prinz Arthur von Connaught, Premier Campbell-Bannerman, Admiral Beresford und der französische Bildhauer Auguste Rodin. | London, June 6. - At the closing ceremony of the University of Oxford, to be held on the 26th of this month, in conjunction with the inauguration of Lord Curzon Chancellor, more than one hundred honorary doctoral degrees will be conferred. Among the distinguished persons to whom this honor is awarded are Ambassador Whitelaw Reid, the American humorist Samuel Clements [sic] (Mark Twain), the poet Rudyard Kipling, Prince Arthur of Connaught, Premier Campbell-Bannerman, Admiral Beresford, and the French sculptor Auguste Rodin. |
