| Mark Twains "Eva's Tagebuch" wurde von den Trustees des Bibliothek in Worcester, Mass., auf den Index der verbotenen Bücher gesetzt und auf ewige Zeiten aus der Bibliothek verbannt. Als Grund ward angegeben, daß zwar das Werk selbst nicht anstößig sein, dasselbe aber von der Bibliothek ausgeschlossen werden müsse wegen der darin enthaltenen Illustrationen. | Mark Twain's "Eve's Diary" was placed on the Index of Forbidden Books by the Trustees of the Library in Worcester, Mass., and banned from the library for eternity. The reason given was that while the work itself was not objectionable, it had to be excluded from the library because of the illustrations it contained. |
