Anecdote | Alcohol out of Sawdust

This quote about German-Americans making alcohol out of sawdust was circulated widely in different newspapers and two alternate versions exist (some referring to a "kitchen table", some to "kitchen chairs" in the last line).
The tesxt was published, for example, in the Washington Evening Star ("Mark Twain on Prohibition", December 22, 1907, 4) and Oakland's The Republican ("Mark Twain on Prohibition", July 16, 1908, 7).
