MOCA And Contemporary

Contemporary Art at MOCA

Contemporary art is all around in many different shapes and forms coming from artists all over. This art form was created as a way to help artists express themselves in a strange way. Artists mostly would focus on problems that were facing them personally or even with problems that were happening around them in society. The feelings that are given off by these many different works of art could either come off as positive or negative, all depending on how the viewers reaction to the work shown in front of them. MOCA hold many different forms of contemporary work, hence the name. Both controversial and peaceful have been inside the walls of the museum. For the past 50 years, the museum has been a nice stop for different artist’s work and because the 50th anniversary is coming up, some of the work is making a return. One in particular is the “You Are Not a Stranger” exhibit by Lee Mingwei.
