New London Road

This street has only three crosswalks for the entire road, and it separates residential areas from the University of Delaware campus. The street has two lanes, one lane going each direction, and not only does it make it difficult and dangerous for pedestrians to walk, but it also makes it difficult for vehicles, such as cars and buses to turn out of the side streets. The road also has large hills, which means that pedestrians are not able to clearly see if there are cars coming towards them. Although New London road has sidewalks for a majority of the road, the lack of crosswalks prevents pedestrians from crossing the street safely, especially when it is dark at night.
