My intended major is Biology/Pre Med and I would like to pursue a career as a physicians assistant. If I were to describe myself in a few words I would say that I am creative, outgoing, discerning, bright, and compassionate. Having to take FIQWS during my first semester of college has helped refresh my writing skills. Being that I hadn't written an essay in a while prior to entering college, the required course has definitely brought me up to par. I was required to write 3 different types of essays that followed with reflection essays to discuss what my thought process was while writing each essay. As an academic writer I believe that I had achieved the goal of each and every essay. For the literacy narrative I was able to trace back to my childhood to discover my upbringing with reading and writing while for my exploratory essay I was able to analyze a viral picture literally, inferentially, and critically. For my final paper I was able to complete thorough credible research to create a critical argument. Psychology of Social Media has allowed me to branch out to different types of writing that I had never completed before while also showing me that It is crucial to create numerous drafts, and to work collaboratively with others. Overall I enjoyed my time as a student in this class for I was able to learn about how social media affects the mind while also applying this content to my writing.
