Sarah Tribelhorn Portfolio

This e-portfolio is a culmination of my work while reading for my Master of Management in Library and Information Science (MMLIS) at the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. With the knowledge and skills attained, I feel ready to embark on a second career in information science, while tying in my experience to date. I was born in Zimbabwe, raised in South Africa, and have had the privilege of living and working on three continents - Africa, Europe, and North America. As a result, I have gained valuable intercultural perspectives and understanding on many important issues. I am an ichthyologist (fisheries scientist) by training, and one of my many highlights as a researcher was volunteering for four weeks on a NOAA fisheries survey off the coast of Alaska. I have a deep interest in enhancing information literacy, particularly in STEM, while ensuring information availability, accessibility, and dissemination. I have extensive experience with metadata and indexing, editing, and building scientific bibliographic research databases, and writing and editing scientific research. I am passionate about sustainability, and most things I have been involved in regarding work have been directly, or indirectly related to sustainability.
