This is shown to be not without consequence however, as continuous deaths will alienate Hank and cause Connor to lose memories and remain a more "stable machine" lowering the likelyhood of having the option to "become human" later. This is starkly different than Markus's "death" and further ressurrection inside the Cyberlife dump, where androids not created for highly classified purposes do not have the priviledged chance Connor does to respawn. Between a possible moment at Zlatko's for Kara to have her memory wiped and gain it back as well as the existence of the Connor line proves that these androids shutting down is not equivalent to death if they are later repaired.
