Uncompromisingly self-optimization, the pursuit of perfection and the loss of obligation in relationships is formative for our current society and, therefore, formative for my generation. Growth and efficiency are values that find usage in our private and thereby love life. Despite these values, despite ‘Tinder’ and the ‘Mingle’ construct, I believe that lasting love is still our ideal that we follow: But it is definitely more than easy to get to know other people in so many and simple ways, so that it can be hard to commit to someone or something. Even if sexuality and physicality have a high significance in our current society, we still crave for security and romance, but I think some of my generation did forget about that. Everything seems to be uncertain and we are searching for orientation, so we assimilate from other disoriented ones.

Even if I think that ‘Mingle’ won’t be the disruption of the romantic idea of love, this keyword should rearrange the perception of my generation’s opinion of lifestyle and that this shouldn’t be the universal solution to fall in love.#perception So I could imagine a world, in which we are not collecting ‘Likes’ and ‘Tinder’-dates like stamps in an album and our drive to self-fulfillment will turn into something useful and efficient. In this scenario I would hope that the courage to a consolidated relationship can bring some of the lost security back to our society and the Mingle existence truly won’t be the future of our following generations.
