Dexter stands beside her and helps her restore the dominant cultural values of true happiness coming not from wealth or class (although they are lovely to look at in this film), but from true love, home, and family. Dexter and Tracy get re-married, and Tracy has shown her fans (and her family) that she has changed and is a "real woman" now.
