Ḥayim Naḥman Bialik

Ḥayim Naḥman Bialik (1873–1934) was born in Ukraine and lived for a time in the Jewish cultural hub of Odessa. In 1924, Bialik moved to Palestine and built a house in Tel Aviv on a street that was named after him in his lifetime. He came to be known as Israel's national poet.
