12018-04-30T14:45:55-07:00Introduction9plain2018-04-30T22:00:10-07:00 I was raised middle class. My parents were middle class people who were often more focused on their careers and social standings than they were on raising their children. This meant that like many kids in the 90’s I was often alone with my sibling ingesting unhealthy amounts of television, movies, and video games as they were easily accessible, and they kept me and my brother out of trouble which was good for my parents. My father was half Italian but was raised a WASP and didn’t hold any customs or beliefs of the culture. This meant that everything I knew about my heritage I learned on the screen, and that screen told me that American Italians were Gangsters.
