  During my second neighborhood walk, I took a walk around Carle Foundation Hospital and Crystal Lake Park.
  It was a beautiful day but still chilly for walking, so that I see very few people walking in the park, though it'll be a wonderful community place to gather when it gets warmer. In the park, some unfamiliar trees and birds caught my attention. I saw sings describing trees in front of some trees, but if there were some additional signs to describe animals we can find in the park, it would be helpful for residents for us to learn more about their park as a learning spot.
  
  
  
  To leverage residents' digital literacy, it might help them if we put QR codes for further research on the history of the park, animals, and plants.
  
  When I got into the hospital, public space near the information counter was spacious with fewer people, probably because it was Saturday.
  We often see some magazines in waiting spaces in the hospital, and I usually see any policy for the selection of magazines.
  
  But since it is a hospital, how do users respond when we offered only healthcare magazines?
  There were lots of findings by observing the waiting space. I found a mobile charging machine useful, and this made me think
  what if we placed free iPad for patients to browse information about their health? We might find some insight from user's access data.
  
  
  Adjacent to waiting space there was a room for meditation. I found this place very community-friendly since I came across many churches
  during my walk and it was obvious that faith plays important role in the community. If there were other rooms for a different religion, it would be great.
  
  
  
  Last but not least, I noticed some opening space filled with cigarettes just outside of the hospital entrance, with the sign behind it.
  I felt ironical to see this contrast and wondered how we might encourage people from smoking, at least near the hospitals.
  Since it is clear that the sign has no effect, what came across my mind was:
  • Encourage e-cigarette?*Obviously not the best, but as an option better than cigarette
  • Placing wastebaskets 
  • Fine?
