In 1977, Amirkhanian produced a concert titled "Only the Lonely" at the Cabrillo Festival. In addition to pieces by Conlon Nancarrow, Peter Garland, and John Cage, it featured the premiere of Johanna Beyer's Music of the Spheres(1938) performed by the Electric Weasel Ensemble.
