Mary A. Cooksey



Mary A. Cooksey (Ange Cooksey) is a Senior Lecturer of Humanities at IU East. She received her B.S. in Philosophy at Ball State University in 1980. She went on to her M.A. in Philosophy and her M.A. in English at Ball State University in 1982. Her current interests include Biomedical Ethics, Death and Dying, and The Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. 

Cooksey had practiced yoga for over 40 years to combat her Type One Diabetes. In December 2014, Ange Cooksey was diagnosed with cancer.  She used yoga to fight the stress and side affects.  Yoga has now become a part in her academic research and life.
