Dr. Alison Parkes is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Dr Parkes is a research, educator and author in the area of accounting information systems. She has considerable practical experience in both the public and private sector, having held senior level appointments in a range of accounting and information technology divisions. Her research explores various forms of human computer interactions, with a particular interest in the performance implications and behavioural consequences of technology design choices, her work has been published in numerous international and Australian conferences and journals. Dr Parkes co-authors a leading Australian accounting information systems textbook and is a three time recipient of the deans certificate for excellence in graduate teaching awarded annually by the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne.
