Professional Experience: Southern California Library

As a Project Coordinator, I assisted with the Southern California Library's annual fundraiser, exhibits, book signings, and community outreach. Inspired by the ways my fellow staff members pushed to think about the many ways archives can be used to address the challenges of the present, my master’s capstone at UCLA examined the connections between cultural heritage tourism and  high-end redevelopment in the bank district. Later, as a graduate student at USC, I helped coordinate the Building People's Histories project, a semester long collaborative project that integrated the theory and practices of archival research into undergraduate courses in American Studies and Ethnicity.
