Professional Experience: Historical Society of Pomona Valley

As a Pomona resident and local college student, I was drawn to the Historical Society of Pomona Valley (HSPV). I began volunteering at the Adobe de Palomares, the home of rancher Ignacio Palomares and an important California landmark. I joined the Board of Directors the following year and have since served as the Vice-President (2006-2011) and Treasurer (2012). During my involvement with HSPV, I have sought to conserve the rich history of the Pomona Valley through educational programs, community outreach, and the conservation of HSPV managed sites, including the Palomares Adobe, the Casa Primera, the Barbara Greenwood Kindergarten, the Phillip’s Mansion, the Currier House, the Spadra Cemetery, and the Pomona Ebell Museum of History.
