Da Graca is a lifelong learner who currently works at Lehigh University as the Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs. She holds a Masters of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in College Student Personnel and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Leadership Studies. Prior to entering graduate school, Margarida served as a college advisor at College Visions, a non-profit college access program, which supports low income and first generation college rising seniors by assisting them in their college application process and proving continued support for current college students. In her current role, she continues to assist students of marginalized identities as they navigate their understanding of self, discover their true passions, and work towards living a life as their authentic selves.
Lori Dougherty is a graduate student at Lehigh University in the M. Ed. Globalization and Educational Change program. Her research interests include the use of academic tracking in K-12 schools, public policy regarding Roma populations in Eastern Europe, and the pervasiveness of nationalism in K-12 history/social studies curriculum and its impact on youth around the world. Prior to attending Lehigh University, Lori was a Fulbright Scholar and English Teaching Assistant in the Czech Republic for 10 months. She currently teaches 10th grade Global History in New York City, where she serves marginalized groups, including students of color, students from low socio-economic neighborhoods, and first and second generation immigrants. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling around the world.
