Lori Dougherty is a graduate student at Lehigh University in the M. Ed. Globalization and Educational Change program. Her research interests include the use of academic tracking in K-12 schools, public policy regarding Roma populations in Eastern Europe, and the pervasiveness of nationalism in K-12 history/social studies curriculum and its impact on youth around the world. Prior to attending Lehigh University, Lori was a Fulbright Scholar and English Teaching Assistant in the Czech Republic for 10 months. She currently teaches 10th grade Global History in New York City, where she serves marginalized groups, including students of color, students from low socio-economic neighborhoods, and first and second generation immigrants. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking, and traveling around the world.
