Serial Killers: Modern Human Monsters

What is a Serial Killer?

Why Are We Fascinated With Serial Killers?

The FBI defines serial murder as "the unlawful killing of two or more victims by the same offender(s), in separate events." They also say that having a predisposition to serial killing is biological, social and psychological in nature and there is no generic template for a serial killer. Every serial killer has their own motives and pathology that causes them to operate the way they do. These factors will be looked at in each of the case studies in this book. For more detailed information, visit this link and view the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit's study on serial murder.
