This image is called “Keep the Home Fire Burning.” During the WWII, it is very important to unite every American as one if Americans want to win the war. in this image, FDR is wearing his typical black suit. His face looks serious. There is a fireplace with raging flames on the left side of the image. The flame is called the “Patriotism.” FDR is going to put a big piece of firewood called “inspirations” into the fireplace to keep the fire burning. It looks like he has been working like this for a long time. This house represents America. He is the one who takes care of this house. Therefore, what this image shows are FDR is trying his best to inspire everyone’s patriotism to unite everyone as one. This is also another important reason of why FDR is a legendary leader -- he is able to inspire people and unite the nation.
