Outside of her academic pursuits, Maria is the President of the English Undergraduate Organization and a member of the University Chorus at Ohio State. Her interests include sci-fiction and fantasy genres, with an emphasis on magic and its roles in literature from the medieval period to the present. After her undergraduate education, Maria plans to pursue a Masters in Library Science, with the hope of one day working in a public or university library.
