The RESTORE Act
Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act.The Deepwater Horizon oil spill resulted in the creation of the RESTORE Act¹. This act allows funds to be used for "programs, projects, and activities that restore and protect the environment and economy of the Gulf Coast region¹." The committee in charge of these funds consists of the Governors of the five states that had been affected by the spill.
