Andrews (1946- ) was series editor for the North American Slave Narratives (1999). Erika Lindemann (1946- ) compiled True and Candid Compositions: The Lives and Writings of Antebellum Students at the University of North Carolina (2005), and in 2011 published Verses and Fragments: The James Lawrence Dusenbery Journal (1841-1842). Professor of American Studies Robert C. Allen (1950-) provided extensive historical commentaries, context, and background for Going to the Show (2008).
