Heather Laslie

My name is Heather Laslie and I am taking my last three courses in ODU's MA in Literature.  I currently live in Colorado Springs, CO with my husband (Brian) and two daughters (Savannah-9 and Aspen-5).  I am a Veteran of the US Air Force and have been a life-long student, but am currently a stay-at-home mom.  I volunteer as my older daughter's Brownie Girl Scout Troop Leader and in both girls' classrooms, which keeps me quite busy.  I'm also interested in ancestry research when I am not in school.

College Composition seems to be the most bountiful source of employment for graduates with a Master's in Literature. Since I am projected to graduate in spring of 2015, I am eagerly looking for opportunities to make myself more employable.  It is my hope that this course will help me to gain both teaching skills and technology skills.

Love your organization

Heather, I love your forward-thinking organization in this space! Already you've created pages for every week's reading posts! I am organizationally envious!!

664 too?

Heather, you'll probably want to be sure to take ENGL664 as well. We won't cover as many "general" composition theories/scholars.
