John Marrant's Narrative (1785)

Finally, John Marrant is the last literary contributor attending the collaborative conversation, and we will scrutinize the paratexts of his 1785 Narrative. John Marrant was a free Black man who published an account regarding his religious conversion.[1] The Newberry Library holds the fifth edition of the narrative which confirms that Marrant produced countless updated versions with different literary contributors.
