DHSI 2017: Documenting "Enchanting the Desert"

Content Relationships

When a reader navigates through the project's main content, they are always presented with a combination of three media types: an essay, a photo, and a map. Though the arrangement of this content can be customized by the reader, the specific files correlate with each other so that, for example, each essay calls up a specific photo and map view. Likewise, selecting a specific photo, calls up a correlating essay and map view. The following table illustrates the relationship between essays and their corresponding photos. Also included are the unique urls for each essay-centered state and a citation of that page.

The complete html site files (not included here) include the text and image files that populate the console as a reader interfaces with the project. The following table illustrates the photo and text source filenames that correspond with each other. When a reader calls up a particular essay in the alpha window, for example, a set photograph appears in the bravo window.
