I am currently finishing my third year at Concordia College and I plan on attending graduate school for archaeology or archival work in the future. I hope to work with historical documents or artifacts in one way or another. For this project, I worked on the pages for: English, History, Chemistry, Chinese, Credo, Humanities, Norwegian and Scandinavian Studies, Physics, Psychology and Russian Studies. By working on these departments, I was able to learn quite a bit about my college and I have to say that I am continually impressed by the people who have taught at this school and the people who continue to teach here. I learned many useful skills in terms of research from this project. I gained valuable insight into how archives worked in terms of their organization, their policies on scanning photographs and documents, and the value of researching from primary sources. Seeing the changes in my departments over the years and decades that they have existed at Concordia has given me an interesting insight into how people thought and wrote across different decade. I really hope that this project will be continued in the future because there are so many more departments and majors at Concordia that deserve to be highlighted as well.
