Expectations
- Regular attendance at all class sessions and active participation in discussion.
- Respectful engagement with your peers in the classroom, course critiques, group projects and everywhere else in life. This includes: following through and showing up on time to your commitments; carrying your share of the load on group work; showing patience around others' learning process; expressing productive forms of support, whether in the form of affirmations or helping someone less proficient in a technical skills; etc.
- Completion of weekly readings in advance of each class session, and... integrated into how you your lab assignments, course projects and contributions to class discussion.
- Thoughtful and timeline completion of all course assignments. This include the take-home lab assignments, which are designed for you to synthesize the theoretical and technical concepts from the week and progressively build the foundation you to complete the larger projects for the course. The instructor may choose to incorporate your work in some way into the following week's lesson plan, so be prepared – but don't be scared! Your work will never be spoken of in front of the class in a disparaging manner.
- Clear communication with the instructor about any concepts that you might not understand or which need further clarification. Moreover, don't wait until it's too late for me to help you.
Requirements
- 20% – Attendance, Participation & Collective Presence (includes one 5-min presentation on a nominated/named cabinet member of Trump's cabinet)
- 20% – 6 Take-Home Lab Assignments – Due by noon on the Wed before each class session.
- 20% – Project 1 – Due at the beginning of class in week 8
- 20% – Project 2 – Due at 10am on Tues, Mar 21
- 20% – 3-4pp Critical Reflection Piece – Due within 24 hours of submitting your final project.
Grading Criteria
Each assignment prompt will provide a specific grading rubric that factors in the complexity and constraints of .... Generally speaking, this is a class that values the learning process as much as technical execution critical process you undergo carries equal weight as your technical execution of each assignment.

All production materials (external hard drive, video camera + lenses, editing software) will be available through the Media Lab.
