How to Access Resources:
- You must visit the Media Lab’s Tumblr page and register as a user before you can check out any equipment or use any of the facilities. Registering in the Media Lab's system will also grant you access to the facilities during non-business hours. Please note that it takes approx. 24 hours from the time of registration for your information to enter the system.
- You can reserve rooms and equipment on the Tumblr page as well.
- Checkout hours: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, M-F.
- Checkout period is 24 hours. If you check out your equipment on Friday, you can hold onto the equipment for the entire weekend. However, keep in mind that Fridays are the busiest check-out days, so plan to arrive as early as possible if this is your plan.Undergraduate and graduate students share the same level of access to equipment and facilities, with students enrolled in Comm courses receiving priority.
- Please note that some items listed in the Media Lab's inventory are being housed for specific populations of students, so you may not be able to check out everything you see on their website.
- The Media Lab has 10 editing rooms equipped with Adobe CC available for you to use 24/7. You can only reserve a room for a max of 4 hour / day and 16 hours/week. However, you are free to use a bay on a walk-in basis, or stay past your reservation time, if another student has not already booked it.
- The Media Lab offers 1- to 2-hour long workshop on just about every piece of equipment and software housed in their facilities. You are strongly encouraged to attend at least two of these workshops before the end of the quarter.
