Acknowledgements

The Civic Media Project is fundamentally collaborative. It is the result of the hard work of the contributors and the tireless effort from all those people behind the scenes.  In addition to the editorial staff at the Engagement Lab, there were many students that spent their time reading, formatting and editing the case studies over the last several months. We want to give special thanks to Alexander Eby, Sean Vaccaro, Dan Barkus and Erica Salling. And we owe so much to the team at Scalar for inspiring this kind of publishing project and providing operational support. Without the general support and encouragement from Tara McPherson and Steve Anderson at USC and the countless hours of consultation, design and development from Lex Taylor and Craig Dietrich, this project would not have seen the light of day.
