Keep Track of Searches
Citation Managers
Citation managers are software designed to help researchers keep track of their sources. With a citation manager, you can:
- Import citations from SuperSearch and library databases
- Organize citations into folders
- Share citations with classmates
- Check for and remove duplicate citations
- Generate a works cited list in APA, MLA, Chicago, or other citation styles
EndNote Web
The library provides CSU-Pueblo students with a subscription to EndNote Web, a popular citation manager. To access the library's subscription, you must use this link:You will need to sign up for an account before you can start using EndNote Web.Export Citations to EndNote Web
When you find an article in a library database that you'd like to add to your citation manager, look for the EXPORT option on the article page. Here's an example of what it looks like in Academic Search Premier. Select "Direct Export to EndNote Web" to save the citation to your EndNote Web account.
Saving Items in SuperSearch
When using SuperSearch to locate books, articles, or videos, you can "favorite" or "pin" results to refer to later. You will need to sign into SuperSearch using your CSU-Pueblo eAccount information, or your "pins" will be erased when you log off your computer. To view your saved results, click on the pin at the top right of your screen.
Database Folders
You also have the option to create accounts within library databases to keep track of search results. These accounts are not linked to your CSU-Pueblo eAccount. If you're using EndNote Web to keep track of your citations, this step is not needed.
