Multimedia from Segregation and Public Education: Separate and Not Equal in 20th-Century Chicago

"Segregation and Public Education: Separate but Not Equal in 20th-Century Chicago" was held at the Harold Washington Library, Pritzker Auditorium, on June 1, 2019. Speakers explored how the legacy of the 1919 riots and the resulting hardening of segregation influenced the trajectory of Chicago’s education system.

This event was followed by a screening of the documentary film '63 Boycott, followed by a discussion among scholars and the film's producers. Due to copyright issues, the second event was not recorded.
