Field Diversity by Gender
Using records available from the official Arkansas State University Website, we were able to collect the data necessary to calculate and represent the diversity of the major fields presented at Arkansas State University.Humanities
The distribution of males and females in the Humanities field is fairly evenly distributed. Males just slightly top out at 51.9% of total employees within the field when compared to the females at 48.1%.
Medicine
Females make up the bulk by a large margin with 82% while males hold a mere 12% of the positions instructing medical students at A-State.
Public Service
The field of Public Service is predominantly instructed by females (including the service dog, Miss Scout). Females make up 73.9% of the field while 26.1% are male.
STEM
Males Make up the majority of instructors in the STEM field at 64.8% while females make up just over a quarter at 35.2%.
