Biography:
Provenance: Minnesota Historical Society. From notes on the dedication page, this copy was purchased at Perri[..]e's on November 4th, 1914. From Heidi at the MN Historical Society: "The book was donated by William W. Folwell, his inscription is at the bottom of the page. The other inscription on the book is for Mary Heywood Folwell, who was William Folwell's daughter, so I am guessing the book was given or purchased by her in 1914. Folwell was the President of the University of MN from 1869-1884 and President of the MN Historical Society from 1924-1927. It appears the book came to us during his time at MNHS. We also hold a collection of his and his family papers."
