About the Author

Nicholas Nam (‘19) is a Film/Media Studies major with a focus on film theory currently studying at Bucknell University. His research this summer is focused on the historic Campus Theatre in Lewisburg, PA with attention placed most directly on its contributions to the war efforts, and how it was affected by the block booking system prominent during the era.

In conducting this research, Nicholas’ goal is not only to digitize a comprehensive and meaningful history of this chapter in the Campus Theatre’s history but also to look at wider socio-political trends associated with film exhibition within small, rural American towns during this time.
