Reflection:

“This piece, inspired by Joshua Whitehead’s Full-metal Indigiqueer, borrows from the collection’s futurist aesthetics and use of punctuation to disrupt and distort language in an effort to re-create meaning. The poem centers the elasticity of the letter “X” as a cultural signifier and symbol of inclusive imaginings in its linguistic applications, and uses the field of the page to reflect the predicament of Xikanx consciousness.”
