What can an analysis of the foliation, excisions, and catchwords of the book reveal to us about its production history? This pathway introduces the reader to Juan Pascoe, a printer who has reconstructed a traditional handpress operation at his workshop in Michoacan, Mexico. It then passes through a series of small-scale explorations of the material minutiae of the Advertencias to challenge the idea of the printed book as a single, coherent object.
