BSH Advertisement


The photo shows a woman standing next to an oven. She wears an ankle length blue dress and black high-heeled shoes. Her hair is pinned up in the style of Rosie the Riveter with a blue headband. Her arm rests on the oven handle, imitating the iconic pose of Rosie the Riveter. On the bottom of the advertisement it states: “The Beauty Of Power”.

This is an advertisement by Bosch and Siemens Home Appliances Group, and is from 2007.  The Rosie the Riveter imagery is subtle, but indicates that women's power is in the kitchen.
