Particularities of Electronic Literature - Formal and Forensic Materiality

Formal materiality
  • black type (most information appears in this type)
  • green bold type (appears when you type a command into the interface)
  • black bold type (gives you a location when you exit a building or room)
  • image with lines
These will be the same no matter on what machine the work is run. 

Forensic materiality
  • the local file on my hard disk (bookvol.z5)
  • the local file of the Spatterlight interactive fiction interpreter on my hard disk
