in absentia: Neighbourhood Anxieties and Animosities

Despite the anxieties represented in the various annotations, the narrative focus is on the neighbourhood as artifact: expressions of animosity are directed towards other inhabitants (such as overbearing landlords), and not towards the abstract concept of “gentrification."
