Shulamit chose to open her art gallery in Venice Beach for multiple reasons. She found that historically, Venice is a center for many artists, studios, galleries, and creative space. Although she believes that prominent galleries in other cities such as Culver City and West Hollywood are growing, she was encouraged to bring people in the Iranian community, including herself, out of their comfort zone. Additionally, she desired to expose the community to the amazing area of Venice Beach. Furthermore, she thrives off of new, unknown, and unexpected environments, which also had an impact on her decision to chose Venice. What Shulamit enjoys most about Venice is the different culture Venice presents. It is an environment where people think outside of the box and also is a hybrid of what California is really about, which entails a beach, surfing areas, and a creative environment.
