30 Years After: Tabby Davoodi - Tabby’s relationship with Iran today

As a child of the Iranian Revolution, Tabby’s childhood was formed by the war and the “post revolutionary chaos.” Rather than remembering all of the anxiety and pain from the war, she primarily remembers the positive memories she had in Iran. She remembers Iran for all of its beauty and all of the amazing relationships she was forced to leave behind. Tabby stated that not having the birthright to visit Iran makes her want to go back more. Her connection to Iran comes from the smells, artifacts, and all of the nostalgic memories from when she was a child living in Iran.
