2013: The Great Boycott

Latinos, immigrants and allies set up “free-zones” in states without harsh immigration and anti-Latino laws for people fleeing the repression and violence. A nationwide boycott and the loss of a large part of its populations sends states into economic depression.

Discussion Questions:
  • Read Martin Niemoller's famous poem "First They Came For..." and create a version for today. Who would "they" take before or after you? Who are "they"?
