How has Protein Powder become a viable meal replacement supplement in America?

Protein is a vital nutrient to the operating functions of the human body. In the 1950's body builders were looking for a way to stream line their protein consumption and they turned to sports nutritionist's for help. The belief at the time was “The more protein I consume then the bigger my muscles get.” But it was simply not practical to consume the amount of protein necessary in traditional foods, thus a egg based protein powder was developed. I framed my question the way I did because through the years various companies have emerged and grown as the fitness world has grown a into multi million dollar industry. Millions of people nationwide and globally supplement protein shakes for one or even two meals in their daily routine. When reading this Scalar I hope my reader gets the idea that protein powder can be incorporated into one’s everyday life. Protein Powder is a viable supplement for a meal replacement that can be used in a vast number of ways. Many of the sources I am going to cite throughout my book will be articles written by certified nutritionist, and certified trainers.
